Dear Mr. Eric Solheim, colleagues from the United Nations Environment Program(UNEP), and friends from the media.

I am Karry Wang.

I’m grateful that UNEP opened this door for me so that I can fight alongside my friends who have contributed to global environmental protection.

In the past two years, I participated in the #wildforlife campaign

The whole learning process is very precious to me.

During this time, I not only experienced the professionalism of the UNEP partners, but also had a brand-new preliminary understanding of environmental protection.

It's really a very conceptual one, large enough to encompass everything in our planet. It includes not only climate change, energy use, but also the complex living environment of human beings as well as the ecosystems including the protection of wild animals and plants.

These environmental protection programs sometimes seem to have nothing to do with each other, but they are closely linked.

At the same time, I also realized that environmental protection is by no means an overnight job. Only through continuous efforts can we see progress.

The title of United Nations Environment National Goodwill Ambassador is an honor and also a challenge for me.

I will study and work with more humility.

In the future, I hope to visit different project sites to discover and experience the working conditions of front-line workers who are struggling in this field. Through collaborating with them, these projects can be presented in more fresh and interesting forms.

Youth are no longer merely onlookers when it comes to environmental action, but also active participants.

Environmental protection and public welfare can also be done in a way that is exciting and fun.

According to the UN report of Youth in the Core of Sustainability in Asia-Pacific in March 2016,

young people's participation will help achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals in the Asia-Pacific.

Our actions will soon be the leverage to change the world.

By 2030, we will become the future decision-makers.

Our current expectations, goals and lifestyle pursuits will drive the realization and formation of a sustainable vision for the future.

Finally, I invite everyone to join me in generating a wave of positive action. Let's change ourselves in daily life. We will have a better future.

Thanks again to the UNEP, and every predecessor and colleague. In the future, let us unite and actively participate in environmental protection and stick to it. We are all butterflies. If we keep flapping our wings, we can change the world.
